In winter 1992 Gigrin became an official feeding for Red Kites site on request by the RSPB after they had observed 6 Red Kites being fed and recognised this would help the local population. At the feeding times the farm can now get visiting by anywhere from 300 to 600 birds which is an amazing spectacle.
